MISSING IN ACTION: The Blues did have injury concerns over Brett Morris, Luke Lewis and Paul Gallen but all are a-ok to go. Queensland claim Johnathan Thurston has a virus but itâ??s the possible early arrival of his first child â?? due on June 8 â?? that has them more anxious. Fingers are crossed north of the border that the bub keeps his/her end of the bargain. Darius Boydâ??s injury diagnosis has ranged from broken leg to deep ankle bruising but he will play.

FORM: Obviously there is no recent form to go on but there was little between the teams last year. Queensland won a controversial opener in Melbourne before the Blues struck back to level the series in Sydney. A Cooper Cronk field goal separated the sides in the decider at Suncorp Stadium. After being level pegging for the best part of three decades, the Maroons now have a clear advantage (51-43) in the head-to-head stats. At ANZ Stadium, the figures stack up favourably in NSWâ??s favour. Theyâ??ve won 13 of the 19 games played there, with one draw. It took Queensland eight years to win at the ground but they then won five of their next six visits. The Blues have won the past two Sydney encounters.

NSW â?? Andrew Fifita

Fifita will make his Origin debut on Wednesday night and has earned selection coming off some impressive form at club level. In his last club match before entering Origin camp, Fifita played a lead role in Cronullaâ??s upset victory over the Rabbitohs and was duly named man of the match.
Queensland â?? Johnathan Thurston

Thurston has been a crucial element of the Maroons since going on their record breaking run. The five-eighth is a constant threat in attack and has played in every game of Queenslandâ??s winning streak since 2005.
